Nöta is built with privacy in mind. The app is designed for children to practice spelling and vocabulary, and all practice data stays on your device. No accounts, no sign-in, no personal information required.
Homework sets, practice progress, settings, and streaks are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you remove the app.
Nöta uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage analytics to help improve the app. No personal data is collected, and no tracking occurs across apps or websites.
TelemetryDeck is privacy-first: it does not store IP addresses or create device fingerprints. Events tracked include homework created or deleted, practice started or completed, and settings changed.
See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy for details.
When you choose to share a homework set, it is uploaded anonymously to Google Cloud (Firebase Firestore). Shared data includes only the word list, homework type, and language settings. No account, personal information or progress is attached.
Shared homework expires and is automatically deleted. Firebase Hosting also serves this website.
See Firebase's privacy information for details.
Text-to-speech uses Apple's built-in AVSpeechSynthesizer. Audio is generated entirely on-device. No text is sent to external servers.
